Director’s Update: Happy New Year NBA Families & Friends

It is hard to believe that we have now officially entered our 20th anniversary year. We continue to be grateful for the amazing support we have fostered over the years. Recently I have been reminded that the commitment and longevity of our Program Managers, which we often take for granted, is rare in both our field and our community. Besides founders Wendy Knowles and myself, we have recently celebrated Jane’s 15th, Yoko’s 12th, and Caron and Jennifer’s 10th anniversaries.

In addition to celebrating “old,” we are thrilled to celebrate “new.” The new year has brought new Program Manager Carolyn Grob, new Office Manager Meghan Edwards-Bond, and new Board of Directors member Dan Ahlrichs. Dan’s stepbrother has received services from NBA since December 2007. Dan has firsthand experience with the impact NBA can have on the families of the learners we serve and is committed to helping us realize our current and future vision. He has previously supported fundraising endeavors with Swedish Hospital’s brain cancer and glioblastoma walks. Dan is a financial advisor with a local company and will be a wonderful asset to NBA’s board as we continue to grow into our 20th year and beyond.

Stay tuned for ongoing anniversary updates and events throughout this very special year.

Thank you for sharing in the NBA family!
