This Fall, NBA welcomed four new Behavior Technicians, Ian Tompkins, Shuo Ma, Gemma Barker and Ashley Sneen. Ian is currently pursuing his college degree and has previous experience in the technology field as well as working with kids on missions and through Boy Scouts of America. Shuo has a master’s degree in education counseling and previous experience working as a teacher and academic counselor; she is currently pursuing further education to become a BCBA. Gemma comes to us with a bachelor’s degree in clinical physiology and has previous experience working at a daycamp with youth with special needs. Finally, Ashley comes to us as a Washington State University (WSU) student, and is using her work at NBA as practicum experience to earn credits towards her degree in human development. Along with her training and one-on-one work with her own students, she is participating in our Small Group Intervention and Community-Based Intervention activities in order to gain a broader experience at NBA. Ashley is our ninth WSU intern! We are so lucky to have all four of these folks join our NBA team!
